Many times. I'm actually really good at job interviews. My conversation skills aren't great, I come across as robotic and aloof. But in a interview capacity, where its usually just questions and answers, I come across as polite, intelligent.
always try to remember that the success in the interview process does not depend on how perfect you are
it is a comparative process used to determine the best candidate
you could be at your very best and someone else could come in and be better
or you could be at your very worst and still be better than anyone else who applied
so it doesn't help for you to judge your own performance without being able to compare how everyone else did or know what everyone's qualifications were
That happens to the majority of the population. If 10 candidates go for an interview at a place, and only 1 job is offered, you do the maths. Fortunately, most people do that enough and will land a job in time, where they are the one hired the the others aren't successful.
