I am very much the same....I have close friends and I feel comfortable around them. But if I withdrawl and havnt seen them in a while, it can take abit to get re comfortable with them.

I was like that too. Except I went from having a small group of friends with which I was comfortable, to one friend at the end of high school, to no friends at university.

I find it extremely hard to communicate with people unless I can be assured they will react positively to what I have to say. This limits my 'comfort zone' to people I know very well.

I'm in the same position. I started out with a small group of friends that I was okay with, but when i reached college I went from a few to none. I think the older i get the harder it is to open up and make friends. If I can't secure my comfort zone I just won't talk, which makes me lack the substance needed to create friendships.
