Can you do something for me?

If you are feeling too low or too self-conscious....can you go out of your anxious ways(let it be there) and help someone in REAL need?Could be your mom who needs groceries or a beggar who needs a meal. Don't take too much burden though...a small act of kindness.

please tell me how it goes...i strongly feel the progress lies in doing virtuous deeds and also exercising our minds in a proper way.

I do agree with this. I think focusing on others rather than oneself is one of the many keys to conquering social anxiety.
Can I just ask what you mean by "exercising our minds in a proper way"?

exercising meaning developing concentration(so that we can see things as they are) and wisdom(to see the reality of the mind) by observation of mind. Meditation(google vipassana) helps in doing this.

Sure, I can totally help my mom cook, vaccuum, clean, carry and put away groceries, cut vegetables, etc as long as the chores are all indoors. Nope, answering the door is not one of them.
