in some cases there may be extenuating circumstances beyond control.

eg: ..I get on an airplane and say "I PROMISE I'll see you next saturday"....airplane crashes and I am in a hospital or maybe dead..well it's not as if I lied..it's something I ACTUALLY had NO control over.
