Blushing with eye contact

Hey there,

It sounds really strange, but with basically anyone, I start to blush or get weird feelings in my stomach. it's really embarrassing. I don't like them at all. It even happens with family members when they look in my eyes, like they can touch my soul (lolz) well I mean, they drill my eyes, it's like when someone looks at me, the feeling is too close, what is it what i have with eye contact?

How about you guys? And whatcha think?

I had this up to when i was about 15 or so, but i dont really have any magic answer.
But i think what helped me was that i tried to look back even for just a little bit, increasing it gradually. A tip is to look not directly into the eyes but near them, the other person wont know the diffrence but it can feel easier for you.

I had it even worse until I ended up on medication which help about 40%-60%. When I say this, it doesn't mean that you also need one. It just give you an opportunity to realsize that its fine if people look at you. Idk your gender but I am a guy and i usually look away when a female look in my way cause I am scared she will think i am creek/wierd or checking her out. When a guy is looking in my direction I usually look at him kind of in aggressive and intimidating way(i guess medication worked a bit)(no i am not gay :D) But the more I go out the more I get used to it.

Sometimes I stiffen when someone looks me in the eye, especially if that person is attractive. I try not to blush though because I don't want people to think I have a crush on them. For some reason, I associate eye contact with romance, especially when I see 2 people gazing at each other and smiling.

Dear,
I have this problem too...i think it's the guilt, the embarrassment/shame that shows up in our eyes.
And then when there are thoughts of shame there is a resultant sensation of uneasiness in stomach or heart or the head region. It's the law's of nature, when ever there is shame...there is uneasiness in the body. Please read the article i posted in your other forum.
