Better living through amplification

Turn a guitar amplifier up as loud as you can stand, and then a little louder.
Give it as much distortion as you can stand, and then add a little more.
Tune your guitar as low as you can stand, and then a little lower.

Kneel in front of the amplifier.
Strike a low chord.
Let it ring out. All the way out.

Let the feedback scream into your soul.
Let your soul scream into the guitar.
Let your guitar scream into the amplifier.

Louder than anxiety
Louder than depression
Louder than your mind

Nice.

I have one of my guitars tuned down to F#. Is that low enough? :D

I wish I could turn my amp up though, the other people in this house get mad if I turn the volume past 1.

Yeah, I'm kind of in the same boat - living with my mom. The very few times that I have had a chance to do this in friends' basements, I have felt more alive and happy than I can remember ever feeling. I think it's the same reason some religions use monotone chanting; drone, whatever it is created by, is a very powerful tool for meditation.

You know the weird thing is this wasn't actually intended as poetry - i was just in a really fuzzed out mood when i wrote it.
