Well, I think it's pretty obvious by my avatar that I'm a dude. I have the manliest face in here, no contest *pulls shoulders back and puffs chest out in a haughty show of pride* :)

Maybe the severity of the SA is greater as well, so that most of the females lurking here are too shy to even vote ::p:

I wasn't able to post anything on online forums until I started taking meds, so that is a very real possibility. (I am a guy though, BTW)

girls with SA have it much ezier

When it comes to dating and general leadership, I agree. Girls just have to sit back and accept some guy's invitation to go out to eat or something. Guys are forced to do all the gruntwork most of the time. Guys are also expected to be strong and manly and not show weaknesses which I assume is an absolute nightmare.

However, there are some things that I think affect girls more when dealing with SA. For example, I noticed girls tend to gossip much more harshly than guys do, which can really spike the anxiety/paranoia levels. Guys do gossip, but it's usually along the lines of "he sucks, man. He can't _____ for shit" and the other guys say "yeah" and it's over. Girls will elaborate on every detail and many times they're also not as critical of guys as they are of other girls. It makes girls with SA afraid to bond cause we don't know what the other girls are saying when we're not there.

I think body image also affects the SA of girls much more than it does with guys, for a plethora of reasons.

I'm a girl, and I don't date because I don't get invitations. So I'm not sure if it's always easier for girls in the dating department.

Yeah, true. Guys my own age almost never express interest in me. They're always 40+, which is useless to me. The age thing isn't so bad but I'm not likely to have much in common with someone that much older than me, especially in the future goals dept. They may as well be imaginary, as far as I'm concerned

Generally, though, girls have an easier time.
