Are you a suspicious person?

I am becoming increasingly suspicious - not in a bad way really but just - I have ideas about how things are, and why - and I draw these conclusions about the thoughts that I have.... I just dont know for sure if they are correct or not.

Like sometimes if something bad happens, or there is behaviour that is confusing, or I read something that doesnt make any sense, then I will exhaust all other avenues of reason - and only come to a final conclusion that it MUST be that reason - and its usually not very good.

For example - I think the majority of people are extraordinarily shallow - but seeing as shallowness is percieved as being a negative trait, then people will pretend not to be, by doing or saying things to make it appear that they arent - but their behaviour and actions (as a whole) suggests otherwise - which just leads me to think.... that they really are shallow...but then I get told that people arent. But I am still utterly convinced that they are.

Sometimes I think people are just being nice - to cover up the harshness of how things really are...

I dont know if this makes any sense. It probably doesnt. I feel sad.

Is anyone else suspicious? Not in the sense of peoples individuals intention, but how everything is as a whole...

I suppose I am a little suspicious of things generally... Doesn't help reading lots of old "New World Order" type things and then seeing them seemingly playing out... A coincidence, I hope! lol

However, with your point on shallowness... I think most people are indeed shallow, but they're not going to want to believe it about themselves, so they pretend to themselves that they are not - honestly believing it to be the case - and try to fool others in the same manner...

I think that people realise being shallow is a negative trait, but they've had shallowness inculcated into them by the media and by other people's shallowness... Just look at all the films/adverts/anything portraying the way people "should" be... We all grow up being told we have to be the same and this causes us to look at the world wrongly, which causes shallowness... I'm not sure people would naturally be shallow, I hope it's a consequence of society. I also hope I am not shallow and am convincing myself that I'm not.

You're probably right to be suspicious... Sadly...

I've thought the same thing about people. People are shallow, stupid, cruel, bigotted, all while they're excoriating those qualities in others. Hmm...how can this be? Because nobody is like that toward everyone and certailnly not all the time. People pick and choose who they care about and to those precious few, they're probably quite nice. But to people they dislike or just have no special interest in, they can disregard those peoples' feelings and value as human beings pretty easily. I think everybody does this and I think it's always been this way and unfortunately I don't think there's much to be done to fix it. Just don't worry about it because you'll make yourself miserable if you do. I make myself miserable this way all the time... :)

Oh sorry--I got side tracked about the depths of human shallowness...

I think being suspicious about the world is the result of being afraid of it and remainiung isolated so you kind of are always on the sidelines watching and trying to figure out a game when you don't quite know the rules. Does that make sense?

More selfish than shallow but that too. I am not suspicious because I know from life experiences that it is very true that too many humans have the me against you attitude. Just because most people would never describe themselves as selfish, stupid or rude doesn't make them giving, smart and polite. The proof is in their actions. When the talk does not equal the actions then that is delusion. I try to avoid them but they are everywhere. I was going to give examples but to remember the details is too dreary especially in the morning.

Ya. I'd say I am. I often act suspicious becuase I am curious about things. Sometimes I'd wonder places where I'm not susposed to know, or I'd just look curious and others don't know why.

I am awkward looking and behave awkward at times becuase of my Autism, so that makes me suspicious enough.
