I'm filling in a application form for a job and one question asks for details of any health problems and medication taken for it. Do i be honest and mention my depression/anxiety?

What job is it? Hard to say, I have the same dilemma but when possible I don´t say anything. At least, I don´t take medication, that´s true. I think it doesn´t matter to anyone if you suffer depression or whatever, as long as it doesn´t interfere with the work you do. That means try not to show it, in case it should come out, at the most you will be fired but at least you tried.

I never tick it because it's none of there business and besides I pretty sure they would never give me interview or a job.

This might not be the right answer...but if it were me I wouldn't tell them. Firstly I wouldn't want it to be a reason for not getting the job (although obviously they wouldn't say that!), I also don't like people knowing and treating me different...I think this makes me worse and I feel like a 'victim' so I end up deeper inside myself.

Personally I always try and pull off a confident moment in the interview and then just say im quiet when I start working (coz they normally realise pretty quick).

Good luck with your application whatever you decide!

If you want to reduce chances of not getting the job to 99.9% then yes tell them about your condition

The only reason they ask that question is for insurance reasons so they can cover themselves in case some diabetic drops dead or some epileptic cracks her head open while having a seizure. I don't think they will care overly much whether you're a little unhappy with your life. I would not tick the box.

Very best wishes for tomorrow!!!!
