Am I a Creeper? And If So What Should I Do About It?

What others think of you is irrelevant. If you perceive yourself this way then others will think the same. If you are confident in the fact that you are not a creeper and act accordingly then you won't be seen as a creep.

I guess that can come off as a bunch of nonsense but what I am trying to say is that the only thing that matters is whether or not YOU believe these things about yourself. Judging by the title of this thread, you are unsure about it. You are only a creep if you think you are.

Yes this is very true.

It reminds me of how accusations are sometimes easier to deal with if we know they're not true, simply because we have that clear conscience to comfort us.

In this case that may be harder to ascertain because the OP may worry that even though he doesn't mean to be a creeper, he comes across as one to others. Sometimes we are unaware of the ways in which we may come across. Nobody's perfect and we're all capable of upsetting people without realising, as that's why as sully says its so important to have as clear an understanding of yourself as possible. The more you know that you're not a creeper, the less likely you are to doubt yourself and get upset by these accusations.

I've come to enjoy my own company much more. I've been called lots of things and they have accumulated to make my anxiety much worse and affected my health deeply.

I do have time when I am scared to look at anyone, scared to encourage or talk to anyone. I have heard people say "That's him" or "he's not looking". I wonder who those people know me? Have I done something wrong, do they think I am weird or creepy. Or I will think maybe they know me though my running blog and they might even be inspired or impressed.

In my anxious state the former line of thinking predominates.

When I am in my own company I feel none of that uncertainty.
