It sounds like your friends are a bunch of losers who were trying to embarrass you on purpose. Thank heavens you didn't hold her hand. Next time just be yourself and maybe step a little out of your comfort zone. You could even tell the next beautiful girl how difficult you find it to talk to someone soooo beautiful. I love it when guys say things like that to me.

There were virtually no girls at my school, and... no girls in my class. I used to say "something" to some girls when I was... in middle school! Even in college there were very few girls, and of course I never even got to know them. So what bothers is that my friends have actually never seen me talk with a girl in the last seven years or so, they know I have never had a girlfriend of course, and so I think they might start to believe I'm gay. Wow.
