Since moving, I got a job - perfect for those with social anxiety - I work the 2nd shift at a hospital so an hour upon arriving at work, most people are gone for the day. That means I get to do my work with little to no interruptions! Yay. The pay is decent. Another Yay. It's close to the house. Yay Yay. Great company with full benefits, etc. Check. Check.

There's always a but.....

A co-worker who is about 20 years YOUNGER than me has been flirting with me and other women. In light of the recent scandals in Hollywood comes this male co-worker who constantly thinks he has to brag about his size, make crude jokes and I saw him grab at another woman and she said nothing and just laughed....:eek:h:

He tells me his wife (yup married with kids) is a b itch and he's gonna file for divorce (don't they all say that, lol).

He constantly tells others that he hates to go home cuz of his wife and her nagging and yelling at him. He thinks she is cheating on him and so he is doing the same. He told me he has slept with this person and that person at work...I bluntly told him I don't want to know about this stuff, and if he keeps it up I will be reporting him. there was more said, but you get the point.

Jeezz...creepy

I finally ended up telling my boss about it and she re-assigned him elsewhere. He's been outta sight and quiet.

My over-thinking, anxious part says that I overreacted (there is more to the story, but this post would be too boring and long) but my rational side said I did the right thing.

Wish my rational side would tell my anxious side to be quiet!

You felt uncomfortable about this persons behavior, warned him, he didnt stop so you advised your boss and he paid the price.

I say well done!

So many people just put up with this type of rubbish.

Your rational side is right.
^ Totally agree with these.
Life is too stressful as it is to put up with a colleague who persists with the crude jokes and who you have actually seen physically "grab" another colleague.
Those kind usually don't respect anyone's boundaries and it probably would not have been long before he was "grab"ing you.

You definitely didn't overreact. He should have stopped when you told him to. He didn't respect your boundaries so he was forced to. People like him will just keep going, getting bolder if nobody disciplines him.
