Parties

I've never been to a party before (not including birthday parties when I was little), can anyone tell me what they are like?

Lots of people, of course. A lot of walking around being introduced to those people. Small talk, chit chat. For me a lot of sitting around looking at everyone and what they are doing. If you are brave, dancing. Drinking, eating. I don't like parties i generally avoid them - i just can't relax.

how ironic. i was at a party last night. but not sure if i had a good time or not.

usually i find someone to chat with and go isolate myself. or i feel like i can blend in sometimes so i might hang around with the crowd.

but i'm not a party goer. last night was officially my first time ever feeling the affects of alcohol. i was a bit tipsy after being volunteered to chug a car bomb...

This guy invited me to go party hopping with him and his friends.

So I called my sister (16) and asked her what would I do at a party. She said it's just a bunch of people talking with drinks in their hands. I laughed.

That's what I figured.

I really really wanted to go hang out with him, but I'm not a party person, so I didn't. Now, I'm wondering if I should have just done it anyway and pretended to have a good time. Or, who knows, maybe I would have had a nice time.

I HATE parties. I like small groups of 8, not 50.

I don't think you should go if you don't enjoy it... even if it's the 'normal' thing to do. I hope they understand your situation - maybe you should explain to them sometime?

A bunch of people standing around socializing. It also depends on the type of people who go. Some parties have music and people either stand around and listen to it or dance. I've seen karaoke, drinking games, card games, flirting, people getting really loud and goofy, and lots of flirting. Most people just hang out in their little groups and mingle around a little bit. Some parties were just people standing around drinking...nothing more.

Horroble, for me they are. Been twice to parties, both were disasters, I got some info on these 2 in another topic. I've been to a birthday party once when I was very young(7), I screamed the whole house together, I really didn't want to be there. All the kids were watching me offcourse .. Yeah .. pretty embarrassing...

ive never been to a party before. But I bet they're not too bad if you drink up before you go
