Topicality is being used an excuse to edit out what I assume to be political opinions distasteful to the moderator Lurknomore. I am well spoken and measured and thoughtful with what I write and I was responding to a previous post without malice or inflammatory language. I don't agree with or appreciate heavy handed censorship.

I've been using this site for a few months. It's clear how much the performance has drastically reduced. It's really slow, and I ain't complaining. There's a lot of activity - no way I can quantify it.

Have you got a DBA to look after your system? I wonder what your budget might be. You might need more hardware. I'm sure the system is expanding hugely. Just a bit of maintenance of scripting, tuning and policy in your database and network availability could bring things back up to speed. Are you dealing with that? I'd love to help! Do you need a volunteer?
