No, the part I was talking about was about how Snow comes to rule over one of the however-many kingdoms of Supernaturals. More specifically, he rules over the Vampires since he had to become one (well, half-vampire) to take on the previous Lord of Vampires who had taken in some of Snow's blood and could, therefore, transform into the Hunter. The other Lords get angry with that and basically issue out a war on him, his subjects, and the Human Realm.

Yeah. Sometimes, his "friends" get involved and become hostages. Sometimes, he has to keep a low identity and, for certain reasons, he can't. Other times, he just has to avoid people so that they don't get dragged into his fights. The third one becomes extremely important when you near the end of the story.

Snow inherited it from his father.

He more or less acts like the police. He observes the interactions of the Supernaturals and the Humans. Any side that's threatening to hurt the other is promptly dealt with. Each side can cross over unto the other, but it's easier for the Supernaturals than it is for the humans.
