  • lol I'm never off it too! But its disturbing my studies a lot, my grades are just getting lower and lower. I should try to spend less time on it if I can.
Lol, my Japanese is not good! I might come online, not sure.... since i have to get up at 03:45 tonight >.<''
The American version only released the Maniax (or however you spell it) version of the game, so it should just be Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne.
Yeah, that should be it. However, I'm looking for the Maniax version of the game. A lot more content is in that version than the regular.
I say that because it's a PS2 game, which aren't being sold in video game stores. It shouldn't be that hard to find (I hope).
The way you fight is what puts me off. You can learn skills, but only once; I like being able to recycle old skills back into my abilities. Also, you get demons by talking to them; I'm used to beating everything, then getting a demon as a prize for winning. Although, it doesn't sound half as bad to me now as it did back then.
No, what you're looking at is Digital Devil Saga. This is Nocturne:

The portable version of 3 lacked the anime videos and character sprites of the characters. The only time we saw the characters' sprites were in battle. The PS2 versions were good; although, it would be foolish of me to expect the PSP to have the same capabilities of the PS2.

People mention Shin Megami Tensei and Persona together because Persona is a spinoff from the Shin Megami Tensei series.
Yeah, it sucks that we have to wait so long for it! I stave myself off with the thought that I'd rather play something perfect that took a while to come out rather than a rushed, imperfect version. Sometimes it works::p:. Well, have you played any of the just released games, like Uncharted, Skyward Sword, or Assassin's Creed: Revelations?
We don't know. What we do know is that it will be released in Japan in Spring 2012, but it doesn't say anything about the American release.
If it's combat over graphics, then Persona 4 is your choice. In 4, you can control every one of your characters and choose what abilities they get and lose. If you buy Persona 3, make sure to buy the FES version, it has the epilogue and bonus content. The Portable version uses the combat system of 4, so it may be your best choice as well; it also lets you play as a female, has a brand-new difficulty, and lets you customize your Personas with "skill cards". The graphics take a hit as I said and there are speech errors, but I think it's a solid game. Difficulty-wise, I'd say Persona 4 is harder than Persona 3 because the items are more scarce and the enemies are harder.
Yeah, the Shin Megami Tensei/Persona series are turn-based. Although, you also have to rely on the elements because striking an enemy's weakness gives you an extra turn, but the enemy gets an extra turn if they do the same.

Persona 3 was pretty good, but, yeah, the battle mechanics were lacking. They corrected it in the Portable version, but the graphics suffered instead. But, Persona 4 got it right on both parts and it's getting a Portable version for the Vita. It keeps the graphics and even improves on it while it also has some cool added content from what I see.
Nah, although Persona 3 and Nocturne were both made by Atlus, they are very different games. Although, it's surprising to hear someone know about Atlus.

I've heard of The Last Remnant and Star Ocean. Star Ocean seems like a good game and The Last Remnant I'm so sure of because I've only seen the bare beginning of it.
Hmm, well one game comes to mind: Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne. It was said that it was really good, but, watching the mechanics of the game, I just didn't want to play it. However, right now, I'm a little curious in it, although that hesitation hasn't gone away somewhat. There are other cases, but I just can't remember. So, how about you?
