My son could not get any gov. support because of our income, even though we have a insane morgtage and have no money left. Social Sec office would not help us. But he will be 18 and I was told that he can get disiability income as soon as he turns 18. Does anyone have advise
What country are you in?
^ I have to disagree with skins. When I was at the relevant government agency last Friday I was asked whether I wanted to apply for the disability support pension (I don't). That is no indication of how difficult it may be to get the claim accepted, but they do regard it is a valid disability. It is not a lot more than the dole, but it is higher, presumably acknowledging that someone on disability support encounters greater difficulty.
ok, i was unaware they considered it a legit dissability...thats encouraging then, i thought they wouldn't have seen it as legitimate reason not to work. I i guess i could claim it if thats the case, but its still a lot of mucking around.
I told you it was a legitimate disability last year.
As I see the rules, they're all subjective
Cuts are paramount to government
The basics: to be eligible, you need at least one limb missing, unable to walk, get out of bed or go to bed, get into the bath or shower and out again, be blind, or deaf. Dead status doesn't make you eligible. A bit silly doesn't suffice for the rules.
I know people with mild disabilities, such as a bit of pain, who have lived on this income all their lives. Recently that's beep stopped for one of them
I see a mortgage as a magic dream of simpletons that will always be perfect. Nothing will ever go wrong. You'll always be very happy, if you do nothing. Never worry
I think it's important to explore and look deeply into details and get what you want. Never give up
