Yes I'm a shy guy. When I meet somebody new for the first time I don't really talk to them, I'll just kinda observe them for a while. When I feel that they are someone I'd like to talk to then I'll talk to them. Like at work, there was a new guy that joined our crew and I don't think I talked to him for the first month. I think trust is a big part of it.

Fear of embarrassment is a big part of my anxiety.

I think I am completely gone in the head, and it will be a battle for things not to get worse for me.

I bet I am shyer than anyone here, I haven´t seen anyone worse off than me. I was always at the very bottom of society.

I was really horrible when I was younger. I couldn't go to school because of how shy I was. When I went I couldn't ask someone for a ruler, it was pretty bad.

Now I'm still shy, just able to talk a bit more than before, but I still have a very long way to go

I was at my worst when I was around 13-15. Back in grade 9, I was sitting down and some other kid in my class accidentally hit me in the head with his bag. I was so shy that I didn't even say anything to him. If it wasn't for some girl in my class that told him what he did, he wouldn't even have noticed. Also, if I knew that I had to partner up up with someone I would usually skip class that day.

This sounds exactly like me. My shyness really depends on the day too, but some days I am incredibly bashful.

Highschool boys made me extremely nervous because they were jumping all over the place, play fighting in the halls, pushing/shoving so much that they actually ran into me at times and they would just keep on going like I wasn't there. I sometimes mustered up the strength to say excuse you, but it was embarrassing when they didn't hear me and would keep on pushing. I wanted to punch someone, but when I speak up everyone thinks I'm crazy. I really don't like people. I have a bad attitude? No you have a nasty attitude because I'm getting on you for not respecting me. Oh say something to a popular kid and the group mentality was on.

I hated highschool, it was a piece of **** and the people were big......

I would skip days for partners too, I hated it. I remember one year gym class I had a partner because she was shy too, but it was so hard to find one. I got partnered up with the shy people. Which was cool because we got our work done faster. I would panic when they were sick.

I am extremely shy whenever someone says something to me or when a teacher asks me a question I go bright red! It's worse when we have to give talks in English it sucks and I feel like I'm gonna puke, have a panic attack then die! So I guess my answer is yes lol

I've always been shy, now I'm shy and aware that most people on this planet are *******s who won't give a second thought about shafting you with a broomhandle wrapped in barbed wire if it benefits them in anyway.
Paranoia? Na-uh. Realism pal, realism.

Some days I'm ok, but other days I'm terribly shy.

I can't see any patterns or reasons why, it's very annoying when sometimes i handle potentially embarrassing situations fine, but then go bright red over something so stupid and irrelevant.

I'd say I'm shy and always have been. I don't hate it so much, I just don't like it when people find out about it and then whenever they talk to me they're just patronizing >_<

Being shy might be good for other people but it has not had any positive affects on me. The extend of my shyness and anxiety has basically made my life a worthless mess of avoidance and fear. I can't find anything positive in that.
