How to relax.. ?????!

I wonder how my body is able to relax more... I'm so much in a rush and I'm always tensed.. I hate it. Stupid panic disorder and stupid tension.

I get so panicy sometimes that I feel like hitting a guitar on the ground. Yesterday I tried to sleep and I kept moving in my bed, sweating, heart racing, fearing of tomorrow, feeling tired but yet hyper active, i tried to read a book and couldn't even read one word NO PATIENCE.

So, what should I do people.

I always feel like this, and people ask me , ''Why do you always seem so tensed "? Because I always look like a stiffed fork around people.

What.. should i do? I'm out of hope.::(: Will i ever change

I'm not an expert, but maybe breathing exercises and/or scented candles around the place could help. Even something as simple as a massage might help you unwind.

It sucks you're so wound up all the time. I hope you find something to make you relax because constantly stressing out is not good for you.

Yeah, I think a SPA or something would be nice. But it's very very expensive.

A massage always helps..and candles are really helping me, to relax, a dark room with candles and just blow out the air of my lunghs... (way too much, hyperventilation:$)

I am always wound up, I wish I could be knock out in a bath tup a whole day long. Or just do nothing. Next week I got holiday, so maybe I should push myself to do LITERALLY nothing and just lay on the bed or couch.

breathing exercises or breathing meditation has always been a great help to me. try it. maybe it'll work for you too. it's generally better if you do deep conscious breathing every time.

you can also try catching yourself tense. acknowledge that your body is tensing, then loosen up.

Meditation sounds good. Though I really should learn to do it, better. I am so impatient lol. I have to try to relax, seriously.

Yeah being aware of my tension is the first step I already took, right now I just think like, well if i'm tensed I want to change it, though It's a great pressure when I can't. But I keep trying, I really want to! ::(:

I suffer the same problem and find meditations help. I usually use guided meditations from Learn how to meditate, guided meditation CDs, free audios, podcast, blog, instructions - I can really connect to these (emotional ease meditation helps me in these situations.

It lets me become aware of all the tension inside but most importantly, not to judge and to label it as "stress" or "anxiety", and when I stop doing that sometimes my body lets it all go.

Good luck I really hope you find a method that works for you!

Do you know what is contributing to your tension? Could you perform a song that expresses your feelings? Could you dance?

Whenever I get very fidgety or more anxious than usual I take a xanax. If it is close to bedtime I take two and sleep soundly the whole night. I don't like to depend too much on pills though, but sometimes it is necessary. Taking walks and drinking tea also help me.

lol I'm way too impatient as well. Its impossible for me to sit in one place for like five seconds. Meditation is a good way to relax though, also deep breathing can help too. I need to learn to do these things properly.

I have the same problem with feeling panicked. I get a bad attitude sometimes when it happens. I hope it helps :) I make my environment cool. Cool rooms changes our body temperatures and it help us to go to sleep. It's been shown that insomniacs have a warmer core body temperature than normal sleepers. When you lower it, it lowers your core body temperature and may help induce sleep. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/04/health/04real.html I play slow music. It's just relaxing music, it can be from any genera, anything that's pacifying to you and makes you happy. As long as it's soft/slow. I sometimes get panicked because I'm upset about a situation, so I look up boxing exercises or intense exercise that makes me feel like I'm kicking...."it". I like to meditate to high frequencies. This is what it is if you don't know what I'm talking about. 741 Hz Frequency Awakening Intuition - YouTube I just like the way it feels to my ears, and it's easier to "zone out" to. I know everyone is not a fan of this, so try finding something that works for you. I like turning on Enya sometimes too.
I used to have a bag and in that bag was something to touch, smell, taste and see. Lemon was my favorite smell. I started buying more things in lemon and I surrounded myself with it. It's good to eat healthy but it's okay to have a few chocolate bars or whatever you like :). I had something soft to feel that resembled fur because I don't have any animals, and the feeling is relaxing. Try helping all of your senses. Can you print out a colored picture? Maybe post a picture on your wall of a beautiful place and that can deal with sight.

Try exfoliating your skin. I exfoliate my skin with lemon and white vinegar and I wash it off with warm water. Then I take a little bit of baking soda and exfoliate my skin. I take a hot pot from the stove, put it on mittens and stand over it to steam my face. My skin feels much smoother and I feel rejuvenated. Getting rid of dead skin cells can make your skin feel younger like a new born and it helps to relax muscles. You can even go as far as getting oils like kava kava, lavender and tree oil . I never used these oils but I read they do good for anxiety.

If you can't relax try clearing your brain and getting your thoughts in order by writing it out, or even singing a song that you can really relate to. I like to rant and ranting sometimes help me to relax.

I have a phobia of going outside, but I love opening my window to let in fresh air on a wonderful day and the fresh air helps me with my breathing because I have a problem with shallow breathing, I also drink tea or eat peppermint while doing this. I don't watch TV much, but try finding something you like on the TV like a movie or show. Maybe I am saying this because I don't watch TV often, :D. There are so many things you can to to relax yourself in a healthy way that works for you. You can cook, plant flowers, color in a coloring book, bubble baths, make crafts, etc, do what ever you like and what works. Good luck. :)
