Im getting tired of doing nothing all day long
first it was fun pretty much smoking all dya long with the buddies
now its all apart and im sitting all day home alone with my mom
I cant work and no school.. I get goverment benefits, so probably not gonna
work because they will take it away.
I can start school again but it still takes months when I can start again
and im not so sure what to do, I was literally a walking zombie on school
it so was horrible that I left it at age 18 and im now 21... but doing nothing all day long gets also very depressing... there seems no way out of this.

Well you've made a positive step coming on to this forum, asking for help.

Reading?
Internet? (research information)
Exercise?
Talk to a counsellor?

Hey, clown, I'm 22 , and I have to tell you I'm in the exact same situation. No job, no college. Nothing. I'm feeling very useless and bored. I'm dying for something to do with my time, but I lack the confidence to start anything. No excuse, though.

I just wanted to let you know I understand the way you feel. Try and do something productive with your time, anything, it will slowly make you feel a bit better about yourself doing something useful.

I'm pretty much in the exact same situation. I live with my boyfriend, but outside of him and occasionally my parents, I speak with no one.
I have spent so much time doing things I enjoy (reading, writing, etc.) that I almost no longer enjoy them.
I lay in bed a lot more than I would like to admit.

this basically means that life ends
I cant get out of my mind that I will end up lonely
in an appartment which is 600dollar rent a month and reach 40.
that must be the most horrible life failure scenario that
can cross my mind and its happening to me.. im such a loser
Cant they just cut my amagydala to pieces so I dont

I am same as sparsilestar. When I am not working on weekends, I lie in bed surfing the net, sleep or watching tv the whole entire day. Sometimes I even sit on my bed drinking and eating. Yea its that bad.

Hi Clown, I hope you can find something that interests you, maybe reading or video games. I was holed up at home for five long years, I did absolutely nothing except maybe read eat and sleep. Thats when I started working when before I couldn't. Its not a great life, I still deal with alot of crap on daily basis but it is a routined life at least. Hope things turn around for you soon.

I'm a christian and my philosophy of life has the grounds in christianity and my advice is to read the Bible and ask God what to do with your life. Its as simple as that.

Hey, I too do absolutely nothing, other than eat, sleep, watch cartoons, anime and play video games. I did a bit of work experience for a couple of weeks, but it didn't work out. I'm not sure what to suggest since I'm in the same situation but I guess, find things you enjoy doing, hobbies and such, to keep yourself occupied.

Fill the days with something useful and meaningful. Structure your life. Learn a language. Learn some new skills. Exercise. Volunteer. Prepare for your school. Go develop a hobby. Just sitting all day long, pondering about your life, and browsing the internet will only make you feel miserable. Not to mention people in your environment will get you down by making you feel like a loser.

Make sure you do atleast something useful a day so that you get a sense of accomplishment. That feeling of accomplishment will make you feel better about yourself. It sounds cliche but you gotta get out of that negative feeling sorry for yourself mindset. You're still so young and have your entire life ahead of you. There's no point being so negative.

Lack of structure is definately what gets a lot of people feel stuck in a hole of depression. (including me) But there is a way out of it.

Wow. How ****ty is it to have someone I dont know sum up my life to date in one innocuous sentence? I hope you do better with your time than I did with mine.
