My hands are shaky too. But they are also becouse of the anxiety or panic attack especially when I have to sign, in social situations like meetings, drinking sth etc. Now I'm using antidepressants and propranolol so I'm better than before. I'm sorry to say that I have never ever heard or see any cure except medicines for 3 years. But propranolol's effect is excellent for me honestly.

My hands shake constantly, like 100% of the time. When I am extra nervous the shake almost uncontrollably. I can't take pictures without flash, or stuff like that because it just ends up as a big blurr. Since it happens to me all the time, and it's happening right now I've just learned not to really care care that much. I mean it kind of sucks, but I guess there are worse things that could be happening instead. I don't know of anything that "fixes" it. Some of it may not even be related to anxiety if it just happens all the time.

Hi.
I don't have shaking hands, so I don't know if what I will say is useful or not.
I guess that, like social anxiety, it's a bit a vicious circle : if you feel anxious, your hands begin to shake. Because your hands shake, you feel ashamed and hope no one notices this, which makes you feel more anxious, etc...
So, I don't know if it can stop your hands from shaking, but try to relax about it, forget about your hands. This may help you to feel less anxious and so your hands may shake less. Also remember that people will certainly not notice your hands are shaking, and if they do, what can happen to you? They will certainly say nothing because they don't care, and if they make fun of you, well it means they are just prick...
Ok, I hope my message is understable, because what I wanted to say is a bit diificult to explain in english for me. I also hope what I said is useful...

It could also be useful to think that shaky hands never means that you are a shy or social phobic. I saw many people who have shaky hands and are so social at the same time. That has helped me a lot.

yeah my hands shake too. I never even noticed but my dad said he did. And since then I've really noticed my hands shaking. Sometimes if I have to write a signature or something I won't even be able to because they'll be shaking so bad...But yeah antidepressants are the only think that's helped me sorry :(

I hate when my hands shake in front of other people. Usually it happens when I have to sign papers in front of others. I don't know if they notice because I never got any remarks about it. I'm not sure what can help.

I have this problem, too, when I have to write something in public. Sometimes I literally forget how to spell my own name, that's how nervous I feel.

Yeah. It usually isn't a problem. Once I got stopped by a cop and I started shaking uncontrollably. Obviously, he found that suspicious. Which made me more nervous. Which made him even more suspicious.

I know this is an old topic, but i didn't want to create a new one if there is already one

So, my situation is that my hands tremble whenever som1 is watching me or i think som1 is watching me. I can't sign papers when som1 is watching...
I was wondering if any1 else here has the same problem. And any advice on how to stop them from trembling?

My hands always shake a little but it gets worse when I'm nervous. I'm always scared when I go to the airport that people will find me suspicious! XD

Trembling hands in social situations are one of the worst symptoms that effect my life, they shake so bad I cant hold a piece of paper or pen in my hand. Unfortunately after 10 years of this I still didn’t find anything that will help with it except benzos.

write the first letter of your name with a line after, takes .2 seconds, do it quick before your hands remember they should be trembling.

i know its awfully embarrassing. i fill out everything ahead of time if i can.

Don't know what to say, except try and imagine that everyone in the room is not paying attention to you, because in reality people are too wrapped up in themselves to notice.

You just have to relax and realise that even though your hands are shakey there still a perfectly good pair of hands. Just keep doing as much as possible, say sit on a park bench and do a crossword/suduko whatever.

I was at a party and a group of people were playing guitar hero. I was kinda boasting how I could play a difficult song so the spotlight got put on me. Even though I was nervous and felt so shakey I still owned it. Musicians get stagefright all the time but It doesnt effect their performance
