What are some good clubs/volunteer organizations that could improve my social anxiety

I was looking for something like an improv club or Toastmasters that could help me come out of my shell more, and I wanted something a little bit more intense than a typical, random club, anyone know of some organizations (like volunteer organizations) or clubs that would involve me speaking to a crowd, or organizing some events of some kind?

If you're wondering about specific local things, you could always go to your local community center/youth center or even the parks and recreation department in your town and make an inquiry about what you could do to help.

As far as improv/theater groups-- go to your local theatrical vendor and ask them if there are any lessons or troupes in the area that you could see about joining.

Other places you could volunteer at:
-local churches
-shelters
-soup kitchens
-animal shelters
-old age homes
-hospitals
-big brother/sister programs
-schools
-local festivals
-food banks
-blood drives
-fundraiser events
-awareness programs
-mental illness clinics

...I'm sure I'm forgetting some...
There is always room for volunteers, though. Not enough people are willing to put the time and effort into helping eachother.
