Your best date?

I haven't had it yet. Though I've been married, (we were both always broke)sometimes I feel I've missed the time period for great dates...
Although I did spend a weekend with an Australian man once... I actually ate some escargot at a restaurant.
I wouldn't go so far as to say it was romantic, because we had an agreement that it was just a weekend, but I did really have a great time. Love that accent.

It would have to be the one that wasn't supposed to be a date, just a guy and a girl going to the mall and riding around just to get away for a while. Wound up holding hands and then kissing, then driving some more, then found a deserted spot on the lake to sit and...um... talk.... Then took her back to her car and kissed more ;) then done it all over again the next night. She was my best friend, and mere months later she became my wife. Still seems like we're high schoolers sometimes.

That's awesome. :D

Wow, tha'ts so romantic ::p:

well, if it's romantic you want...

it was our first date - we'd only met for before for coffee, after i got her number from a friend who introduced us at the bar where he was playing

anyway, we had a light dinner at a quaint spot beside the park, where we talked a little about ourselves - she laughed at my jokes, which is always a good sign

then i took her to a gallery opening - it was a juried show, and i had a piece on exhibit - the art gave us something to talk about besides our own lives

we stopped for coffee and took a walk out on the pier to enjoy the perfect sunset over the bay - the conversation never stopped as we learned about each other

on the way home we strolled barefoot on the beach and chased some seagulls

when we got to her house, i found that i still hadn't found the right opportunity to kiss her, and i wasn't even sure she wanted to - so i asked her, "can i kiss you?"

the next thing i knew, we were locked in a passionate embrace for what seemed like hours - we both wanted to tear each others' clothes off right then and there, but we waited for another night...

Yep, the Aussie accent definitely does me in too! ;)

It's funny how the idea of my best date from way back when is totally different from what it would be today though. I'd be just as happy having my guy cook me a nice dinner at home and then cuddle up on the couch for a movie! I'm much easier to please these days - lol! :)

i was very young

but it was quite memorable

and they taught me a thing or two

at least there were no innocent snails involved

Lol, they couldn't have been that innocent, they were soaking in pure butter!

The best date I've ever had was about 5 years ago.

I went on hike in a national park here in MO. It was awesome. Too bad we just weren't meant to be lol.

Wow, that was a long time ago, I'm getting old!
