When other guys lie/exaggerate about you

has this ever happened to anyone?...like if a girl asks about you some other guy will enviously exaggerate or even lie to her to make you out to be no good so that she wont be interested in you in any way....just to ruin any and all chances of her being interested in you by giving her bad preconceived notions before you even have the chance to make an impression....it seems like if people say stuff like "you're not going to like this guy" before you walk into a room then people will be more inclined to look at your flaws rather than anything good about you.....as if it isnt hard enough to make a good impression even WITHOUT all that...when its all said and done I really just dont see the point in socializing most of the time..

I can honestly say that I don't think I've ever had that happen, but then, I almost never socialize unless I have to. That is a super crappy thing for someone to do, sorry if that's happened to you

My sister thought it'd be humourous to re-introduced me to a cousin I hadn't seen in a few years, who travelled up from London to visit for a few days, as "The one with anti-social tendencies". Not exactly a great introduction for someone who isn't the best in most social situations. mg:

But at the same time, what good is it doing you to repetitiously and incessantly talk about nothing but pure negativity, bringing everyone around you down with you?
