Oh hell yea! The time has come once again for the Medieval Fair. 1st week of May.
I love this fair, set in Gumeracha South Australia, Knights fighting, Wizards and people dressing up in their fav cosplay.. crafts and medieval demonstrations. Rustic foods from the period.

I camped out at Gumeracha last year for this, was soo cool! I actually got a costume going and wore it on the 1st day of the festival. I was dressed up as Commander of the Nights Watch. I have to say it looked pretty good (I spent over $250 on it) and got a lot of positive commentsDamn I got so excited until I remembered you were in a different state Guess I'll have to wait for our state ones (I think its Ironfest next, or maybe St Ives)
OMG I watched Reg Barclay in Voyager the other day, Pathfinder I think the episode is called. I actually love this character@PugofCrydee
@LoyalXenite
I've just been massively triggered by the "Hollow Pursuits" episode, TNG Season 3.

It was awesome when I was walking into the tent where they were selling replica swords, shields etc and as I approached, the owner bowed his head and said 'Lord Commander, welcome!'
Wesley gave Barclay the nickname "Broccoli." Never got the hate for his character til now.... heh.
Yea I've noticed more and more people dressing up each year. Last year was my first. I thought - why the hell notThat wouldve been so awesome! We dressed up as generic elvish types (actually our dnd characters but to the rest of the world we were generic elves) for the first one I went to and practically no one was dressed up and we got a lot of weird looks.. But then the next one where we didnt dress up there were tons of people dressed up (it was a larger crowd too, so probably why)
One day, I'm going to spend whatever money it takes and go all outThat wouldve been so awesome!
