When I'm down.. (Not for the squeamish)

I've always wanted a bike... but riding is a risk. Afraid I'd kill myself, or more likely be maimed/killed by someone else.
Lol... mate, I was hit by a car.. side on. It broke my leg in 4 places, bones were sticking out my leg...spent 2 months in hospital and nearly 2 years rehabilitating myself.. But the feeling of (yes I know its a cliche) freedom when you're on the Iron Horse.. its just.. awesome. Not for everyone I know, but I don't regret a single moment.

Wow. I hope you've made a full recovery. I understand (but only by way of my own imagination and the plethora of YouTube videos I've watched) that feeling of freedom. It seems like so much fun.

Whenever the feeling arises in me and I am strongly considering purchasing a bike, I turn on some crash highlight videos. Takes the wind right out of my sails. I might take a safety course just for the hell of it, to see what riding a bike really feels like.

I'm fighting hard today.. thought's of opting out cloud my mind yet again...

As I drove along the coast I was listening to a song and the lyrics.. they gave me strength to keep fighting.

Whatever will be, will be
Don't care what anyone else thinks
You'll be okay, I promise
Just keep on keeping on
It's just a bad day, not a bad life
I'll always be there for you
I swear the breath from my lungs
You'll feel it when you know
Life is worth the risk
Live well and prosper
Believe in yourself and create your own destiny
Don't fear failure

Don't ever give up
Everything worth doing is hard
The only time that matters is right now
It's okay to feel lost
Live life to the full because you never know what's around the corner
So let's take a stroll in the world and make it our own
Don't let the bastards grind you down
You saved me

Keep running on
Just hold on
Just fight on
Until the sun goes down
Just remember when you grow up your heart dies

Just like a movie
Don't let your heart die
Don't let your heart die
Don't let your heart die

Hahaha.... Jason...

Keep on running

[Verse 1: Nikki Flores]
He comes alive in metropolis lights
When the music's way too loud
Deep in the night it's easy to hide
And he's got it all figured out
White satellites getting lost in his eyes
But to him she's just another girl
Roll with the tide like the wind and the sky
And he'll only let you down

[Chorus: Nikki Flores]
Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh
Oooh Jason
Tell me what you're chasin'
Because the night will never give you what you want
Oooh Jason
And if you can't escape it
I hope you find whatever you've been looking for

[Verse 2: Tyler Lyle]
Where do you go in a town full of ghosts
And everybody knows your name
And all the homecoming queens in the
Small town scenes they'll offer you a place to stay
Some want forever instead of whenever
When they're naked in the light
It's a strange little potion but sometimes
The motion almost makes you feel alive
