What other languages do you speak aside from the obvious English?

I speak Hungarian and German, both fluently. Though, my Hungarian is getting rusty, since I have no opportunity to practice it.

Czech (of course, which also means I understand slovakian), German, Spanish, some Italian and Russian. I would definitely be interested in learning some arabic or persian. Japanese would be great, but I would have no opportunity to go there anyway. I also tried Hindi but gave up. I guess maybe I just had a shitty textbook.

You're so smart Andrea, I wish I could speak different languages. That's quite a talent. I have always wanted to learn Japanese too. :)

I'm jealous of all you people who have another language as your native language, you lucky poo poo heads ;) I wish I had grown up bilingual.

If you want to learn Persian i recommend YouTube - Canal de farsiyadbegirim. Persian is really nice and not too difficult to learn beyond the alphabet, Arabic is much harder, though since it's not Indo-European like Persian. I am not sure I'd want to learn Arabic since there are so many dialects and it's one of the hardest, if not the hardest, language to learn. I don't think my brain could take it. Hindi would be nice to pick up on. I knew a girl from India and wish she had taught me some. It rolls of the tongue very nicely. but it does sound like it would be hard also. I almost took Italian instead of German this semester, but I thought German would be more fun. Learning new funny words like funfundfunfzig make my day. Russian is just super cool and I wish I could be fluent in it.
