ok iv jus cum bck from holiday with a uni trip.I lernt if u inetreact with people you WILL make friends.sounds obvious but i cant belive how hard it was thinking of sumthing to say
It taught me not to be afraid of people and as long as you involve yourself in groups not necaesraily be the limelight they will ask you again
pretty tough going but im going to make it work

good for you! unfortunately for me it's not talking to people that's the problem,I can do that.Its the paranoia that creeps up on me unexpectedly that's my issue these days.I have more control over my over analyzing things.I had an attack of paranoia half way though my hairdressers appointment,but i stayed there in the chair and the people talking around me......well i managed to keep control by telling myself what they were talking about had nothing to do with me.

That's great. Where did you go? I remember going to France with my high school, and having to share a room with two really popular girls who I before disliked. When I went on the trip, they were really nice to me and we became rather good friends. At least on the trip anyways. As soon as we got back to school they never talked to me again.

Yeah, I seem to have this problem, too. I can carry on a one on one conversation with people just fine, but I'm not really sure how to get from being able to casually chat with people to being considered a friend that you would hang out with/do stuff with. I mean, no one ever asks me to have lunch, see a movie with them as friends, etc. And I'm too scared to ask them. ::(:
