However, I don't feel it really works that well to decrease sweating. I guess deodorants are mainly intended to cover up a nasty smell, but thankfully I haven't noticed any problem with that so far (knock on wood).
Also, of all affected areas I would say my armpits are the least of my problems (I can sweat pretty badly there too, don't get me wrong, but it's a relatively small area and of all the places you can sweat it's the most socially acceptable I think). On other areas, hands feet, trunk, legs...I don't feel it helps at all.
So I only really use it before going out anymore really. Maybe if I would really find a way to first reduce the sweating by a percent or 80 it would then make sense to start using these topical agents extensively as well again, on a daily basis, but now, it doesn't make a significant difference whether I do or don't use a deodorant. When I used to have classes the only times I would notice when people had used deodorant was when there was a clear 'deodorant smell' around that gives you a headache after a while. I think they are overrated.
