What are your coping strategies while in public?

What are some of your coping strategies while you are in public? What are the things that keep you going so that you don't panic while in public?

Mine are all bad habits I can't seem to break:
- repellant eye contact
- ignore people unless they speak directly to me
- turn myself off, zone out
I know they don't sound like coping strategies but these are the things I have to do to maintain composure in public. This is the best I can do.

Trying my best to get rid of the thought that everyone is looking at me, judging me. I am just like everyone else, and everyone's minding their own business, having more important things to worry about than me.

We are not that special.

I'm sort of in my own world and I walk fast. Walking slow gives me more time to feel nervous.
