Today, i went to 24 fitness and was really trying to think positive thoughts and get my in the zone workout (which helps anxiety a lot). I was doing cardio for 30 minutes until i thought to myself i need to go do some weight lifting because it's been awhile... Then i go and lift (lifting is so boring but it does produce results and feels good after)... and all was going well until i was doing decline bench press and i couldn't get the bar up  i was like .. excuse me can you help me? literally took like 10 seconds for someone to see i was dying... then my face got really red and this girl in front of me who was kind of attractive started laughing (i think cause i was laughing first but i know it was like.. you idiot)... i dare not to look around other places and see what there expressions were.. then the guy who helped me had this pretty attractive female with him also and she's like yeah you can probally spot him now... i was like dang it .. since he saved me i must as well .... but i told him i'll have to catch my breath and was laying at the bench (but it was more the anxiety that i had to fight to calm down and have to deal with this guy now)... turned out he was cool guy but i think i got him all jittery and was asking random questions so there isn't that awkward long pause... girlfriend came back to him and i was like ok i gotta go now.. and didn't stare at her cause i know i was blushing...

then take shower go to locker room and forgot my phone was left in the cardio long time ago!! i go nuts and and ask front desk and luckily she has it but looks at me wierd cause i'm in panic mode.. then i go back to locker room to get remaining items.. and whole time my mind is just not at ease and was going to leave until someone says.. is this your wallet? all this happened under two hours..

I don't know about you guys.. but does anxiety cause you to forget items and if so what have you lost? I lost lot of items do to anxiety since i'm so preoccupied with pain in my brain that i forget....

haha don't worry about it man, it happens to the best of us. I've ended up with the bar stuck on my chest on 3 separate occasions (twice on decline bench, that brick wall creeps up quick!). Yes, it's embarrassing, but it happens quite often.

yeah once i hear that someone else has done it.. it makes feel less lonely and feel bit normal.... (not just in this incident but pertaining to anything in life)..

Try using dumbbells instead of a bar. If you can't get them up, you just drop them. Also you could try using a Smith machine...safety stops let you go all out and not worry about killing yourself.

If you couldn't even get the bar up once, you're using way too much weight. Start out light and work your way up.

Bro, you just need to relax a bit. Realize that everyone is off in their own little world working out and listening to music and no one probably even noticed you until you started freakin out. It's easier said than done for sure but things happen, no is going to go through out the day with out needing some sort of help like lifting a bar. The guy was probably happy he could help you out, I know I would be. Your there for yourself, not the people working out around you.
