i think computer game are invaluable in helping people overcome depressive illnesses, that sounds dramatic but i think they help so many people.
i like the sonic games of course, mortal kombat, any old arcade games.
my brain is geared to play computer games and do nothing else i think.
it's sad but i can't read properly, i forget everything.
i think i'm retarded or something, recently i just think **** it, do what you enjoy and that's it.

happened to me too,, i bought a wii instead.

i have Super smash brothers, and i could probably wreck you in multiplayer, but my internet connection is much too slow to play, the only game that seems to work fairly well multiplayer is final fantasy crystal cronicles echoes of time.

I absolutely love RPG and SRPG games, although those are a bit hard to play
when you don´t have much free time hehe. Anyways...nowadays I have been
playing Devil Kings for PS2 (action game where you literally have to fight against
thousands of enemies, it´s sort like dynasty warriors but even flashier and here
you can actually die if you aren´t careful) and Der Langrisser for SNES (one of
the best strategy games out there, a must play for anyone who likes the genre)

Actually I don´t know if I would even be here today without videogames...since
as it´s already been said in the thread, they can be really good for taking your
mind off your problems, even if it´s only for a little while. Have been trying to
cut down the amount of time I spend playing, though :)

Yup, cut down the time.

It has become an addiction for me, so recently I decided things couldn´t keep going on like that. It´s the same thing that happened with MMORPGS [games like Ragnarok Online, Lineage II or World of Warcraft] since I realized those are the biggest waste of time ever invented...you just spend days, months, years only to realize that you haven´t accomplished even a single thing that is worthwhile, aside from some extra pixels on a computer screen. At least offline games have to end eventually...

Besides, my Onyx Black DS Lite just died like a while ago so all I have is a ps2 on the verge of dying [my pc has problems handling even remotely modern games] though I´ll probably get an XBOX360 relatively soon...hope I don´t go back to my old playing habits by then.

Anyways, good luck with selling the famicom :)

meh, careful not to get the 3 lights of death on xbox, seems to be fairly common.

That tends to be the older models,so aslong as no one buys 2nd hand they should be ok :) They actualy didnt put enough fans in for cooling,so the soldering melts ::(: This obviously short circuits everything.

The newer ones have a better cooling system and i think the old ones with the red ring of death have an extended warranty of like 4 years.

I tend to prefer role playing games. I think they're the perfect source of escapism.

I like the Final Fantasy series, Neverwinter Nights, KOTOR, Dragon Quest VIII and Oblivion.

However I also like Civilization IV. Considering the hours and hours I've spent playing it, I definitely got my money's worth from it many times over now.
