Venting Anger

I have a new exercise idea.

If I had the space, I'd create some pads at each end of a room, adjustable to about shoulder and upper back height, as far apart as I could make them. Based on rugby practice equipment - teams pushing rigs, plus swimming pools, from end-to-end exercise, squash courts, and boxing rings with punchbags...

I'd run from one end of the room to the other, smashing my back into the pads, turning round, and doing that until I was exhausted

That's like a padded cell lol

I saw one in an old hospital once (scary!)

That sounds pretty cool actually. Reminds me of football practice, when I could let all those pent-up, introverted frustrations out without being arrested for assault.

Padded cell!! Perfect!

There is no better way to use muscles to get rid of frustration which builds up, without harming others, or yourself.

A run can do some of that, but all that passive stuff is nowhere close to banging your fist against something! That's refreshment.

Whichever type of pent-up feelings you have, it's proper treatment, and self-healing. I'm surprised that this kind of exercise is not easily available.

Hey - how about a trampoline and a bouncy castle?
