Using a model for your personality

Have you ever used a personality of someone you admire as your own style?
I don't know if I have personality disorder or something, but I think I don't.
The thing is, whenever I need to do something that I'm very shy to do, I kind think I have the same personality of Sandman - Lord of Dreams (Neil Gaiman's character) and that helps me.

Like, what would Sandman answer to a question like this? He would feel sad, angry or nothing?

Have you ever done that?

YEA! all the time! I think it's massively important, and I think everybody should do it! ....it's having good role models basically.

mine are usually a mix between Adam Sandler, Kurt Cobain, Ghandi and Edward Scissorhands! lol!...although lately Stephen Fry's been getting in there...I like that sophisticated, well mannered, British thing!

But also I think this idea is right at the core of every human being...I know in Christianity, and probably most religions, they all talk a lot about conforming into the likeness of whoever it is you're worshipping. [i.e. what would jesus do!].....and you see kids do it all the time, conforming into the likeness of their parents and older siblings.

so I think it's really important to discover who or what it is you're "worshipping", i.e. what you want or where you're trying to get in life, because everyday you're probably conforming to it, whether you're aware of it or not!
