Try being mute

Instead of talking to people, pretend your a mute for a couple days. if you need something, show it with your hands or something. Its worth a try if nothing else works.

Don't do this. If you want to fit in with society and/or within a specific group, you need to be able to talk and communicate. Avoiding to talk, you'll just feel worse and paranoid about being the center of attentions because you're the only one not talking. If you want to fit in, you have to do it by joining others in the most common ways, and that begins in the communicational aspect, verbal and physical.

My father once said to me, when I felt terrified of attending my driver's license classes, that the best way to dodge anxiety and its symptoms was to mangle with others by taking the initiative and talk instead of waiting for someone to single you out.

Oh I have. Well, not tried. I used to pretend to be, well like not on purpose, when I was really young because I was sooo afraid of everything and everyone. I don't see the point in doing so. I never really talk to people in real life anyway, or very rarely. Pretending to be a mute for a few days would bring nothing.

There are so many beautiful things most of you are missing out on. The Summer sun, sunrise and sunfall, trees that are so tall and majestic, butterflies, birds in the sky.

I've found that refusing to talk has brought unwanted attention upon me. People tend to single you out and try to provoke you into saying something. Because they're jerks.

Well, in elementary/MS and a bit of HS, I was called "Mute" and "Mime." Not by everyone or often, but I remember hearing it on a couple occasions. This kid I really hated called me a 'mute' in MS. And it felt awful! It's, like, not even recognizing someone as being human. It's below human. I wouldn't want to purposely bring that onto myself.
