Trash build up and removal

Does anyone reach crisis point situations with trash build up in their homes due to their condition?

How difficult do you find regular removal of trash to be?

i leave my house to go to work every day

and walk right past the garbage bin

you'd think i'd remember to grab the stuff from the trash can and take it with me

but i'm always in a hurry to get to work, because i've procrastinated getting ready

and when i get home and get inside and kick off my shoes, i don't want to have to go back out there

i really need to change some habits

I'm in social housing; so there's a dumpster in our parkinglot.
Can't get much easier than that, I guess...

If this is becoming an issue you should get out in the middle of the night to take out your trash ? Not sure if i understood the question right

I'm ok with rubbish actually. Not a neat freak exactly but I'll empty the bins and then just leave out the wheelie bin for the bin men.

Seperating rubbish is chore though, I'm a bit lazy when it comes to that :p

Just curious here, do most people get all the different colour wheelie bins for like paper, compost and general waste ?

Yes, I do. I separate all the garbage. Also, batteries, lamps, bottle caps, corks, nespresso coffee capsules, etc go all to the appropriate recycle gatherer bins.

In the city, we had to sort out all the different types of trash and recycling and composting.

Moving to a smaller town-- we hardly have proper recycling here; everything else is trash, including the compostables.
I feel so horrible throwing out food and we don't have a dog to eat the scraps. -__-

we have three categories

1. paper
2. plastic, metal, and glass
3. all other trash

there's a separate bin for each one

each week a truck comes by with a big claw and grabs the bins, empties them into the back of the truck, then drives away

but only if you remember to put the bins in a spot where the claw can get them

i'm still working on being consistent with that part
