TRAPPED BEHIND THESE WALLS

social-anxiety.jpg

Panic and paranoia taking over,
This shell is caving in!
Mind racing in circles,
Over and over again!

Trapped behind these walls,
Left all alone to dwell!
On the mistakes I have made,
On all the barriers left in my way!

These cages keep closin' in,
The pressure's getting worse!
An' I don't know how long...
Can anyone survive like this?!

Anxiety fills my mind,
Like a lose cannon!
Sending rip tides through time,
Scared of all those by an' by!

Ever growing windows,
Lost perceiving the outside!
Trapped behind a stand still,
A desert slowly losing time!

These cages keep closin' in,
The pressure's getting worse!
An' I don't know how long...
Can anyone survive like this?!

I am my own worst enemy,
I am the warden of my sentence!
Carrying out laws and standin' guard,
Watchin' as the world slips away!

Tossed aside an' rejected,
A symptom ever endless!
Of the gift they gave to me,
This is an ode to Mom and Dad!

That is pretty good, I was actually writing the other day (something I haven't done in years) but I'm not on your level yet. Great Job I relate.
