Hurt - Johnny Cash

OMG Every time I hear this I think man this is how i feel. It makes me tear up. Not that I would literally hurt myself but it makes me sad but I like it anyways.

Romantic songs make me sad because I wish I had a female I could be romantic with but I love those too anyways. I dream that someday I will have a wonderful female I can sing them to.
Phil collins is one of my favorite, most oldie romance stuff is good, new stuff kind of sucks. Some is ok though.

Yeah, thats a favourite of me too ;)

There are MANY songs that get to me but im listening to one of them right now, its

Placebo - Nancy Boy

Beyond The Realms Of Death

He had enough
He couldn't take anymore
He'd found a place
In his mind and slammed the door
No matter how they tried
They couldn't understand

Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd

(Gary Rossington - Ronnie VanZant)

Mama told me when I was young
Come sit beside me, my only son
And listen closely to what I say.
And if you do this
It'll help you some sunny day.
Oh, take your time... Don't live too fast,
Troubles will come and they will pass.
Go find a woman, oh baby, you'll find love,
And don't forget son,
There is someone up above.

(Chorus)
And be a simple kind of man.
Be something you love and understand.
Baby be a simple, kind of man.
Oh, won't you do this for me son,
If you can?

Forget your lust for the rich man's gold
All that you need, is in your soul,
And you can do this, oh baby, if you try.
All that I want for you my son,
Is to be satisfied.

(Chorus)

Boy, don't you worry... you'll find yourself.
Follow your heart, lord, and nothing else.
And you can do this, oh baby, if you try.
All that I want for you my son,
Is to be satisfied.

(Chorus)

Alice in Chains - Nutshell (unplugged version)

very cool song and that entire acoustic show was the best unplugged of them all, its so intense, brutal and honest, a rare trait in music these days

i would choose basically any song from the smiths "the queen is dead"

I downloaded some of the songs from this thread (ashamed to admit  :p) and wow this thread is full of rare gems, all that youve posted so far are amazing songs, so dont let the thread die. I dont wanna die before listening all those great songs :).

Here goes another favourite of mine, lyrics totally describe my life, dark and beautiful:

Postal Service - This Place Is A Prison

"I know theres a big world out there like the one I saw on the screen."

Edit: Oh and also:

Simple Plan - Welcome To My Life (Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56Mhq32_dGs )
Simple Plan - Im Just A Kid (Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bm4TNOCfezE , you should watch this video, its hilarious!!!)
Simple Plan - Me Against The World

(Jane Says - Janes Addiction)
Jane says
Have you seen my wig around?
I feel naked without it
She knows
They all want her to go
But thats O.K.
She dont like them anyway
Jane says
She's goin away to spain
When she gets my money saved
She's gonna start tomorrow
I'm gonna kick tomorrow
Gonna kick tomorrow

Jane says
She's never been in love
No, she don't know what it is
Only knows if someone wants her
I want them if they want me
I only know they want me

In the first verse it seems like 'Jane' feels like she doesn't fit in - that she truly doesn't know who she is. And I love the last few lines about saving her money and going to Spain. Haven't we all had that fantasy about getting up and starting over? I love the last few lines as if she is convincing herself it will happen...only once she gets her money saved (or whatever excuse one might use.)

The second verse shows her lack of self-identy or self-esteem again. She "loves" anyone who will show her the least bit of attention. If someone gives me attention I will form a semi-crush on them. So in that respect, I can relate.

Great song...I would say this one also...and also "Them Bones" by Alice in Chains...I feel I can relate to alot of their songs.

And "Hate Me" by Children of Bodom is of course, another song that I feel really describes me:

I was born in ashes of molten hatred
Raised by demons in abodes of the end
The reaper's scythe I fall upon to light my path
Wrecked by mangled wounds of life
I have become become the resurrection of the evil one
'Yknow that I don't f***ing care If I live or die

I need a bishop preaching fire to get away with my sins
I despise everything I see so I don't give a f*** if ya hate me

Ain't got respect for humanity
Never lived or wanted immortality
The reaper's shadow I fall upon to obscure my path
Every day I'm being battered up until I bleed
You motherf*****s just leave me be
Ya could never give me cure for the pain I feel inside

Led by the reaper I walk in the night
Show me the way to yer kingdom come

I believe in armageddon, I've been baptised in alcohol
I'm embodyment of antichrist
I'm living for my own demise
