So, I was working in my area tonight, and I heard a conversation of co-workers in the next aisle. It went like:
Person1: Have you seen J (our manager) tonight, haven't seen her since I picked up my check"
Person2: Yeah (fades out)
The some mumbling before I heard:
Person1: Yea apparently this guy was looking at her when she and her boyfriend were walking around.
Person2: That dude is messed up
Now, this got me to thinking of many, many months ago when she was in the store w/ her boyfriend, walking around, and I was doing my best to avoid them, but she turned and looked at me anyway. I just hope those two co-workers weren't referring to me.
I asked that guy who they were talking about a few minutes later, he said he didn't remember/seemed confused, but his eyes went to the floor so I don't know if he was lying or not.
Plus, this manager almost always comes up and says hi to me, or comes up to me about random things about work, so if she really thought I was a creep she would avoid me right?
Gah, I don't know what to think, I just don't want someone thinking I'm messed up when I wasn't trying to do anything at all. Any advice as to how I can find out if they were spreading rumours about me, without seeming too obvious?
