Does anybody else get paranoid around strangers in public places when they're whispering? Like you see them talking and laughing, do you think they're doing that because of you? Cause I'm always doing that.
If they're making it obvious they're discussing me in some way, I would get a little irritated about it, but I don't usually get paranoid.Does anybody else get paranoid around strangers in public places when they're whispering? But then this forum would lose a valuable person. If I could be completely invisible that would be a bit better... if I could just stop existing; that would be a dream come true on any day.
While I'm not going to ask specifics, this usually stems from a similar thing happening in your past. That's sad, Weirdy. ::#1 thing that makes me fear people; is the possibility of them lashing out at me and harming me physically
If a complete stranger will do that, then it is they who are sad and pathetic. I don't think you're either of those things.#2 is the thought that they could be laughing at me and thinking about how sad and pathetic I am.
Yes.
This was the first question I was asked by any number of my therapists... always followed by; "do you believe you can read people's minds?"
haha
No.
I believe that they 'could' be talking about me or laughing about me or thinking about me-- but probably aren't.
It still terrifies me, though.
