Sensitive?

Ok, as SA sufferers we are all obviously extremely sensitive. To others peoples views and criticisms. Do you consider this an advantge or disadvantage though? Sure it puts us down at times and means we often get hurt, but it also means we are extremely considerate to others and care about other peoples feelings. I think sometimes people realise this and it makes the few relationships we do develop more special in my opinion.

Everyone is sensitive to criticism. But noone is criticized, everywhere he/she goes .

why you think our few relationship are special? Maybe they are of special meaning to us, so it will hurt us more when those persons alter or be gone from our lives :S

This is the basic problem in why we have relationship problems. We get freaked out by stupid shit, yet we will pay for someones movie ticket because we feel like we're "not worthy" of a friendship. It's all about self esteem really. The more you feel better about yourself, the less conscious you are of others, in most cases. We want to make everyone else happy, while leaving ourselves with nothing. That's why every day people like us should make it a point to do something for ourselves. We take so much time thinking about others, why not designate a time for us? NoW THAT is therapy.

I am like ultra sensitive to criticism, and if anyone criticizes me I get obsessed over it, but do anything to prove them wrong the next time. I see it more as a disadvantage than an advantage though.
