I agree and they are a lot tougher to fight too. zombies are slow, vampire are faster then humans

I think the vampires would be smart enough to not overrun us in an apocalypse. They know they need us for food and suddenly killing everyone off is counterproductive and not long-term at all.
Maybe they might 'take care' of the overpopulation but they'd rather have us be unaware of our impending doom.

I think they would be about domination as well.

One problem is their vulnerability to sunlight, unless they are extremely powerful, and even then i think they can only be exposed for so long before bad things happen.

Since they cant be harmed by conventional firearms (usually, depends on what movie your watching) maybe should a new type of bullet be developed? instead of a lead core, maybe fire some sort of small spike that would penetrate the heart?.

Silly weapon design is another one of my hobbies IRL, lol.

Vulnerability to sunlight!? don't make me laugh! Vampires+ Sun = Tanned Vampires. However a pure silver bullet blessed with holy water from the Vatican; shot directly into the brain of a vampire will kill them, as long as the bullet stays in the brain.
