Re-Reading posts

I haven't been on this forum in quite some time. Coming back to it gave me the opportunity to re-read some of my posts. Wow! What an oppertunity! First, I thought "who is that giving such brilliant advice and insight" Lol! Twas me! I thought I seemed Intelligent! And likeable! But mean at times, too. Second, I thought "Wow! Am I ever defensive"! I will argue my viewpoint at the sake of hearing others. A "Right fighter" if u will. And also, I dont always pay attention to what has been said/posted. Prob bcuz I am too defensive, quick to argue and far too focused on myself and my point of view! Anyways, what a chance to see myself more objectively. The good and the bad. Anyone else have this? What did u think about urself?

its always interesting to see how ones objective view changes/influences depending on emotional state and experience. given that time manipulates both experience & emotion, revisiting things is always interesting to get a different point of reference.

these different ways of looking at the same thing is probably where one accumulates wisdom?

Sorry rambling. Always good to have an open mind.

You r right! It's kind of like seeing urself on video, I think. You can gain more objectivety when ur not in the moment and time & emotions have passed. Pretty cool! Now.... to put those observations to good use! Lol :p

It's great that you see yourself in such a positive light after re-reading your posts :)
I find keeping a diary is awesome - similiar to rereading posts, it's a way of almost communicating with yourself. Very useful in working stuff out, as the only person you are guaranteed to rely upon is yourself.
