Putting a comment in Quotes

When someone uses another person's quote, it says originally posted by ...

When I post a quote, it doesn't ever say that. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

It does that when you click the quote button on their post. Are you just manually copying and pasting and then adding the quote command?
