Probathine no supply in UK

Hi all

I have been using Probanthine for over 10 years for sweating around the chest
After ETS. I have just been advised that there is a manufacturing issue and that supply will not be available till 2013 at the earliest ! I will chase manufacture for a reason. Does anyone know the reason for supply issue in the UK?

Ain't got a clue why, just another set back I guess... Ask your doc for Ditropan it might work for you, at least It could buy you time untill your manage to Chase those ****tards...

i got some from boots today, they did mention something about supplier stuff but then gave me some. will be really crap if there is a problem as i also need and have used for 7yrs

I work in a pharmacy and this is happening with a lot of drugs, the problem is less common drugs are made in batches, there's more money to be made by selling UK products to oversees pharmaceutical companies, and often there is not enough supply left for the demand. This could be the problem, or it may be a problem with obtaining or manufacturing the drug that meets British standards. Often when expected supply dates are given they are continually pushed forward as well.

the thing is probanthine isnt just used for HH, it's primarily used to treat irritable bowel syndrome which I guess is fairly common (common enough for boots to have it in stock) so would seem strange if was discontinued for the time because of low usage.
We will have to wait and see I guess...:/

Hi all

Rang Archimedes company, who advised they are the sole supplier of Probanthine for the EU. there is a manufacturing issues(unforeseen circumstances ). There is currently no forecast date for issue fix. They advised that supply can be obtain from US supply chain, but expensive. My chemist rang Archimedes for US reseller in the UK details. Unfortunately chemist are unable to cover extra cost with NHS.

So yet another set back! Another wrench in our lifes..

I feel sorry for any one who uses those drugs or sprays. because if they work for you then this could be a major set back... Ive tried a lot of pills,sprays,rubs,plus 2 ETS ops and still I search for answers from professionals/doctors-specialists... Still no further.. and they keep kicking me off the sick.
I hold no hope for any one who has really bad HH like some of us,who feel so ill mentally and physically trying to get ESA,DLA benefits as there are too few of us pushing our point across....
