People who can't stop staring

I've had this happen to me a lot and I know that you people are going to say that "everyone stares", but I think for these situations, it's different. There was a first occurrence when I was eating at a restaurant with a couple of friends. One of them was girl sitting beside me, the other was a guy sitting across from me. As we were talking, I must have said something that led this guy to stare at me for almost ten seconds. I was talking to this girl about movies and that I mentioned one particular movie she wasn't aware of it. Then I turned my head and the guy was looking at me and he just kept staring at me for I guess it was ten seconds long. I really didn't want to be disrespectful to him, but it makes me uncomfortable when people stare at me like I just came from another planet. I'm not sure if it is because he may find me "attractive", but I'm pretty sure it's not that. Even my brother's sister, whom I not exactly comfortable with either, we were going to snow tubing and while we came back in this bar for something to eat food, she pointed out I was colder than anyone else because I was shivering all over. Then the next minute, she would not stop staring at me and I was trying my best to hide my annoyance. She's another one of those outgoing, giggly, "hip" people who I honestly don't want to be around with. She even has a problem with my shyness too, not that I'm surprised.

It's funny that whenever I look at people back, they glare and respond with "What?" in a very irritated way, as if I offended them. But they're allowed to stare at me for the longest period of time and trying to make me look uncomfortable and makes me feel embarrassed somewhat inside. I don't know if I'm that unusual if I say, if I did or did not do something they always feel that it's okay to stare at me. I wouldn't mind if it's just a quick glance, but it's obvious they're staring. It's the same reaction I get when I walk past kids and they stare at me blankly. I don't know if I should tell these people sooner or later "What?" or "Why are you looking at me?" just to put them in a similar position I was in. Though, if I'd say those things then I'd turn out to be the evil villain instead. Arrg! :veryangry:

The way I see it, that guy whom stared at you for 10 seconds seemed to be judging you for your movie tastes.
Either that, or you mentioned the name of a porn movie next to a priest.

Just get out your camera phone, and take a pic of them. Creep the buggers! ;)

The kind of people you describe in the second part are utterly revolting, troubling someone then blaming him for 'defending himself'.

I hope they all die in hell.
