I can't speak from experience, but there will be some influence from you until they reach the age where they start hanging out with others (ie school etc). However speaking spiritually, their are thoeries out there that the soul chooses the parents prior to being born into this world. The soul would know what it's in for, so you would not have to worry about how your SA affects the child. So I say, if you want a child go for it. A child is a wonderful thing to bring into the world, and will give you great satisfaction in the long term.

I don't believe in that spiritual saying...if I had it my way my soul would never have chosen to be brought up by my dad!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I know you feel that way now (and I have read you stories), but it may not always be the way. I learned through a counselor that what you see in others is an aspect of yourself, and if you want change then you must work out what that part of you is that is causing the problem and work on fixing that in yourself. Anyway this is getting quite off topic.

Anyway back on topic, it is your life and if you feel like you would like to bring a child into the life, then you should do so. The child will do okay, as long as you are their to provide the basics and offer support when the child needs it, then it will grow up to be a happy and healthy individual.
