Overly Self Conscious

Okay, got the earphones on with blaring music. It does feel a little better. But, I want to keep my hearing. However, you have given me a great idea. Even with my other laptop, which is quiet, I can at times be self conscious. Since it's quiet, I won't have to turn up my music so loud...........Awesome, this will work! I have some major re-installing to do. Ugh.

Believe me.. It's worse when you are in a train and your laptop is loud.. I never use it... because of it.. While I would love to just check my mail or SPW of course ;).

And my Tablet.. Nooo way, because it's sooooo ''attention seeking'' because it is soo big... And people are looking at it.. Sensation... Ooh..

So dear Imnotmyilness (which is true, good name), You are indeed self concious. WIsh I had the cure.... I am fighting against self concious for four years already. But still I am dealing iwth it... Though sometimes I feel good.. occassionally... But a lot of times , i'm a freezing robot.... sounds funny.. But it's the oposit.

So, if you ever need someone to rant about it.. You can pm me,

And wel...

About self conciousness... You want a solution right? I think maybe it helps to find yourself so distracted that your focus is put on a whole different things than people.. That's a trick , whihc sometimes works... Or try to look at a point for 3 minutes.. Give your self a little challenge...

And with the laptop... Indeed great advice music spider04..

Or earplugs. Orrr......Just don't care and show them how fast you can type...

:)

(Typing) CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK....Thanks Falkor! I thought I was the only one---seems a bit extreme. So glad to hear I'm in good company :). Oh A Train, NO WAY! Especially if someone was sitting next to me (claustrophobia time!) I would turn my back to them (as much as I could) and just surf the internet.

Thank you for the PM invitation. I will definitely take you up on that offer sometime! :)

Thanks Malthael for the info. :) I feel like plugging my laptop into my head so I don't have to type...but that wouldn't work. It would come out as gibberish. I always have 10 different things going on inside my brain. A dozen channels on all at the same time and I'm watching them all.

BRAIN! Stay in the moment. Relax, you cerebral madman!

Yeah, when I use the computer at the library or computer lab, I feel very self-conscious about the keyboard noises that I make. I wonder if I accidentally pressed a key too loudly, will it piss off somebody near me? It feels awkward when I was the only one typing on the keyboard while other people were not. I feel better when I hear other people type because then I can also type without feeling alone.

I also experience lots of anxiety when I am using a computer and someone is sitting straight across from me, using the computer as well. Sometimes our eyes would meet and I would have to look away so that they don't think I'm looking at them.

I always avoid eye contact!
