Hie yer hence from me heath!
"You'll never make it in life!" My grandfather used to yell that at me practically every time we disagreed on something. I kicked him out of my life almost 4 years ago but often I can still hear him talking down at me in my head, especially when i'm working on something.

I can relate, there. Only difference being my father would say to me "You'll do nothing with your life". Yeah, it does mess with your head.

Um I have a bunch off the top of my head
"How many cows do you eat in a day?" - A boy at the local swimming pool
"This is my granddaughter, too bad she is fat." - My grandmother
"How much does she weigh now?" - my grandmother
"no man will ever want you" and other variations of that also from my grandmother.
A boy named Adam when I was in the sith grade would moo and oink whenever he would see me in the halls and whisper "cookies" "doughnuts" behind me in class

And the worst of all from my mother when I was about 18 "Maybe if you ask santa he will bring you some boobs"

Yep that's right I got the worst of both worlds fat and a flat chest.

Oh yeah and one last one

After our regular classes there were some special classes to prepare those exams for uni, i didnt go and studied on my own at home so she got mad at me and told the other students that.

Ummmm, a teacher is not supposed to be that way even if you didn't comply to the rules, their not supposed to wish horrible things on you no matter the case. Not your issue, her attitude.

Sorry, InvisaLady. I expect things being said by naughty children, they say all kinds of things. Your grandmother sounds stern and don't hold back, my grandfather is like that too. She has her opinions and view of what a person should be like, but don't ever let it stop you from trying. Oh and welcome. :)

^ Wow, those are so harsh. ::(: Sorry you had to go through that.

As for the flat chested thing, I've gotten comments about that too, but I take it more as a joke now. I mean hey with a flat chest you don't have to hold your boobs when you run, right? ;) (I'm totally kidding, and no offense to those who DO have something. Boobs of all sizes shall be appreciated. ::p:) Welcome to the forum, IL.

Actually I can't run, bad knee. But I would give anything just to look normal on top, not like a 12 year old.

"You're too quiet/reserved", "You should talk more often", "why don't you open up to me? I don't bite" now I know that there're nothing wrong with these. The other person is probably being concerned.
But I'm getting these for such a long time that now it really gets to me whenever I hear this kind of 'helpful' comments.

I don't mean to be rude, but your grandmother sounds like something of a b**ch. ::(:

"I think we should brake up because I've been seeing someone else for the past few months. Who's a lot better than you are!"

This was sent to me by my ex who I had been with for just over 10 years. And she told me all this by a text message. She didn't even have the guts to tell me to my face. After being with her for 10 years she could of showed me some respect and told me to my face.

I've suffered some really heinous comments from others over the years. The ones that hurt the most were from my own brother.
I can't really repeat them, even here. But they were deeply personal, & very vicious. He has since apologized, kind of...
But, that cruelty from someone I love and trusted really tore me to shreds.

well i went down town the other night, a typical saturday night, people out and about going to pubs etc. i was sitting on a public seat at the end of a street and along drives this car with 5 guys in it roughly aged 18 -24 and the music thumping the windows down when one of them noticing me sitting by myself shouted out at me 'hey i have more friends than you lad'. it hurt me, i have no friends. thats why it upset me the most, because its true. here i was sitting there feeling sorry for myself on a saturday night when its pointed out to me by a complete stranger just how much of a loser i am.
