On Social Anxiety

I don't think people who don't have SA realize how pervasive this disorder really is...it controls every aspect of my life. I mean if you have araknophobia, how often do you see spiders? But Social Anxiety is a fear of other people's negative judgements, and how often do you meet people? All the time! Just walking down the street is a struggle because people could be looking from the windows or cars coming by...it's just frustrating and unrelenting! :(

I totally agree, though, for me, it's certainly not only about fear of negative judgements, it's about fear of being around people in general.. of having them talk to me &/or try to socialize. I'm afraid of social interactions & sometimes, it's like I'm afraid of people themselves.
I do wish, though, that people would realize how serious it is/can be & how much it negatively effects people's lives.
